Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was recorded to accompany an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is the Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. It earned her some attention. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding an attic piano and being fascinated by the sound it could make. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music, not as work or for a passion and as a way to grow. She started writing her own songs. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an affinity for Bjork's style. After her mom informed her that her music could not only help her gain fame, but also make others see their significance within the global community and see what can be done with her songs and her music, she was inspired to start singing in public. She started playing piano when she was only six and started writing songs at the age of nine. The family did not be aware of this until she was fourteen. It was never a dream to turn into Aurora. She says she just likes writing songs. According to her, she believes music can make anyone feel better.
